Current accommodation that is available at Fonteinplaas are these guest cottages, Oupa Piet se Huis, Pietjie and Hester Swanepoel, Kliphuis, Hendrik se Huisie and the Safari Camp. There is also a Campsite. Accommodation is based on self-catering, but bookings can be done in advance for Dinner and Breakfast.

This North-facing house was almost completely destroyed by fire but has been recently restored to its original beauty. It sleeps six in spacious rooms. A open area with high ceiling and big indoor braai for those cold winter nights. It also has a big outside stone braai area.

The house of Pietjie & Hester Swanepoel

   

   

   

   

   

This house can accommodate 5 people comfortably. Because of its historic status this house does not have solar powered lighting. Guests have to use the supplied Parrafin lamps - adding to the Gamkaskloof experience. The house was extended by adding rooms as the family grew. These rooms do not have interior doors into the house but only onto the porch.

This is a small Karoo Style cottage, perfect for a happy couple. One, open space for dining, relaxing and sleeping. This is perfect for an overnight stay, with great views  of the Gamkaskloof mountains.

This is a beautiful Stone house, with stunning views over the Western side of the valley.  Sleeps four, two double bedrooms with own bathrooms.  Spacious and lovely dining area with big open fireplace in the kitchen.  Secluded from the rest of the houses, tranquil and quite.

The Safari Camp

   

   

   

   

   

This is the new Safari Bush Camp that replaces the previous Safari Camp that was destroyed by the fire. This Safari Bush Camp consists of four separate rooms that sleep 8 in single beds, a big shared kitchen, living room, inside and outside braai and an ablution block with shower and toilet. There is hot water at the ablution block and in the kitchen.

The Campsite

   

   

   

   

   

This is a basic and functional campsite with 6 sites that was recently built as the previous camp site at Piet se Staning was completely destroyed by the fire. There are 3 small ablution facilities with 3 toilets and 3 showers with hot water.

Braai area
